Tour of the lake
This excursion will take you to the beautiful historical and naturalistic sites surrounding the Garda lake.

 

This are the main sites that are going to be visited:

 

Salò: the Cathedral of Maria SS. Annunziata, Isola del Garda and its famous villa

Gardone Riviera: the Vittoriale, former residence of the poet Gabriele d'Annunzio, and now hosts the Museo della Guerra (Museum of War), Hruska botanic garden, rich in botanical rarities

Toscolano Maderno: Museo della Carta (Museum of Paper)

Magasa: astronomical observatory of Cima Rest

Tignale: the lemon-house of Prà de la Fam

Riva del Garda: the Keep, built during the XII century
Malcesine: sailing and windsurf paradise

Brenzone: a peculiar village made of fifteen districts, on the slopes of Mount Baldo, which can be climbed with no effort using the aerial tramway

Torri del Benaco: a town with a fascinating medieval town centre, Venetian palaces and the “scaligero” castle

Garda: don't miss the visit of colle della Rocca, where once was the Garda castle and the palaces that Venetian noblemen used for their vacations

Bardolino: this city is famous for its wine production; in Bardolino there's an interesting museum about wine, and in the the nearby village of Cisano there's a museum about olive oil and its production

Lazise: in this town there are several prehistoric and medieval finds hidden under the water: the remais of a stilt house village and several ships of the Venetian fleet, sunk on purpose to prevent the enemies from taking them

Peschiera del Garda: city protected by water, with a strong pentagonal fortress

Sirmione: the “scaligero” castle with its lapidary and the majestic Catullo's Grotto

Desenzano del Garda: from this city there people can enjoy the best view of the lake, who is visible in its wholeness. It is a city which offers several entertainment choices.
