Camping Village Cavallino: Activity and excursions
Ancient traditions today
Sports fishing in this area is still performed for the joy of those familiar with the deeply rooted fishing tradition of the lagoon in the Adriatic. You can choose to fish in the sea or in the valleys at Cavallino-Treporti, where the amateur Association focuses on preserving and promoting this fishing activity. A competition for kids has been organised for the past few years in August, to teach children the tradition of the territory.
Days dedicated to sports
The Camping Village is equipped with some sports facilities managed by the municipality offering various activities. Lovers of basket and volley can head to Cà Savio, where they can watch captivating matches or join the entertaining competition at the public field park. Live the adventure in Jesolo
A large area of 3000 square meters is dedicated to the world of animals and the respect for them!
The garden contains over 100 species of animals from 4 different continents allowing you to discover lots of tropical animals in a completely indoor and air-conditioned building. The visit is perfect for a rainy day. The Tropicarium Park in Jesolo is a zoo with many curious animals such as turtles, geckos, amphibians, saurians, tropical and freshwater fish, sharks and crocodiles but also funny penguins and butterflies.
The path is entirely passable even with strollers/toddlers.
The park and the exhibition are open every day from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm (last entrance).
The attraction is located in a central area of the city of Jesolo in piazza Brescia just a few hundred meters from the beach and the sea. The park is 20 minutes by car from the campsite (about 13km).
During a holiday in Cavallino Treporti, you cannot miss the excursion on the Venice Lagoon during the sunset! You can enjoy the typical Venetian aperitif on board a panoramic boat admiring the beauty of the Venetian Lagoon.
The excursion starts at Treporti Tobacconist's shop at 19.00 in the direction of the islands following the route: Saline - Lio Piccolo - Torcello - Burano - San Francesco - Sant'Erasmo.
During the journey, an aperitif will be served, with local prosecco and cichetti, while listening soft music. The word "Cicheti" means small portions of food typical of the bacari (the typical Venetian taverns) that allow you to savor traditional Venetian dishes such as folpetti, hard-boiled eggs, creamed cod croutons, sardee in saor (sardines seasoned with onions in bittersweet) alternated with fried fish or cold cuts and cheeses.
For children, the aperitif includes non-alcoholic drinks, fruit juices and various crisps.
We suggests you to wear comfortable clothing, hat, and to have a bottle of water and a sunscreen lotion.
