Among the waterways

One of the most spectacular places in the Venetian Lagoon is the part that stretches to the north, where among expanses of water and lost lanes one can have the feeling of being a true explorer, admiring the expanses of water that mirror the light that radiates multiple reflections.

The “Conche di Cavallino”

Continue your visit to the “Conche di Cavallino,” and as you walk along the river you may recognize the “scales,” or houses on stilts used for fishing. Before returning to the starting point, arriving at the mouth of the Sile River.

St. Mary Elizabeth Square

St. Mary Elizabeth Square is the starting point to which you then return at the end of the approximately 10 kilometers (6 miles) that you face among churches, waterways, hollows and houses. Starting from this magical place, it is possible to discover the Casson Canal, which shows the ancient inland waterway leading from the lagoon to the mouth of the Sile River.

Cavallino Lighthouse
