The intriguing charm of Trieste

Trieste has the sea inside. The seaside city, more so than other famous coastal and port cities, has a decidedly enveloping and distinctive charm, nostalgic and sometimes rough, as it is, suspended between Italy and the Carso. A charm with a thousand faces, to be caught in the details of the daily life of its inhabitants, certainly all to be discovered.
Trieste with its famous terraces to draw its contours, summer life on the street and the sea, with which its children, have an almost symbiotic relationship.
The citizens of Trieste have experienced the sea since childhood as if it were their backyard, so much so that to go to the sea, it is commonly said to “go to the bath.” This is because the sea in Trieste is close, accessible, inside your eyes, always present in everyone’s life, even and especially, in the city center.
In Trieste for decades, it has in fact been customary to bathe in the city center. The cult bathing establishments in the center of Trieste have remained in the hearts of more than one person and have given the first great love to many, think of the well-known Bagno Maria, or Soglio di Nettuno, just to name a few, or a stone’s throw from the center on the pier, Bagno Lanterna and Bagno Fontana.
But not only that. Trieste over the years has surrounded itself with pretty seaside resorts, full of seaside promenades that stretch lazily for miles, where one can pleasantly spend Sundays and vacations. The waterfront of the Trieste hamlets, is a popular destination for the people of Trieste, as well as for vacationers who, by chance or fate, happen to pass by. And of those messy cots toward the sun, of the little tables for playing cards almost abutting the street, of the laughter and squeals of kids diving from the “Little Mice,” they would never want to leave.
Some of the places to visit if you are on vacation at Camping Mare Pineta are the famous Barcola, and Grignano, Sistiana, Muggia.
