Half-day excursion to the Caves of Neptune

Neptune’s Caves are a must-see during a vacation at Camping Village Laguna Blu in Alghero, Sardinia. These extraordinary sea-level caves are the largest in all of Europe, an inexhaustible speleological treasure trove.

Neptune’s Caves are located a few kilometers from Camping Village Laguna Blu. The history of these caves dates back to the mists of time; in fact, we have to go back as far as the prehistoric era. In these fascinating caves there are several traces of our ancestors, belonging to the Neolithic period.

Neptune’s caves are among the most famous in Europe, due to their vast surface area of about 4 kilometers, which is only partly accessible. May they be the antechamber for a Journey to the Center of the Earth?

These caves, of great scientific and naturalistic interest, as well as very scenic in their majestic beauty, can be easily reached from the port of Alghero with daily departures, or alternatively on foot, first reaching via bus or car Capo Caccia.

Different transportation solutions are available to get to the port of Alghero, including convenient hourly buses, or you can get there by car.
