Through the historic coastal settlements

Once you pass Canale Pordelio, you reach the town of Treporti, with its small church with two characteristic bell towers. We then continue along the banks of Valle Zanella to the locality of Saccagnana, with the historic rural courtyard of ‘Pra,’ overlooked by an elegant rustic villa and the ancient little church built by the first inhabitants of the island. The itinerary ends at Lio Piccolo, in a lagoon landscape characterized by fishing valleys.
It is the lagoon of long levees that wind to separate living and flowing waters from quiet and fertile waters, with houses scattered or clustered to form picturesque settlements. It is the lagoon where natural sounds and scents come to the visitor unchanged, as they did a thousand years ago.
