Starting from Arzachena, either from the road to Luogosanto, or from the road to Bassacutena, one arrives in the region called “Li Muri,” where one can learn about the history of this area through the Li Muri Necropolis, which narrates the traditions of the people of this area. Consisting of spectacular granite formations, this monument was discovered in 1939 and is attributed to the Neolithic Age. With its characteristics, this funerary complex is evidence of the development of a distinctly Gallurese culture, which is very much anchored in this area of Sardinia.
