The Traversata Mediterranea is a tourist walk that stretches for about 30 km from Aurisina to the Rosandra Valley largely overlooking the sea, where there are splendid views of the city of Trieste and the Gulf of the same name. The walk is passable all year round, preferably during warmer periods, and can be divided into several stages: the “Tiziana Weiss trail” between Aurisina and Santa Croce (CAI trail marker No. 7); the walk between Santa Croce and Prosecco (CAI trail marker No. 6); the “Napoleonica” between Prosecco and Opicina; and the “Derin walk” between Conconello and Monte Spaccato.
