For those who enjoy walking in nature, the territory of Duino Aurisina and Sistiana offers numerous trails and walks with varying degrees of difficulty. Starting from Camping Village Mare Pineta, you can directly access the famous Rilke Trail, which stretches from the Baia di Sistiana to Duino, near the castle of the same name. The trail is easily navigable and offers spectacular views of the Gulf of Trieste, with stretches overlooking the sea, and a chance to discover military outposts used during the war. The Tiziana Weiss trail starts from Aurisina and, overlooking the striking panorama of the entire Gulf of Trieste, leads to Santa Croce. During the walk you will be accompanied by the scent of sage and junipers and the many shades of nature in the Carso area. Then taking the fishermen’s path leads to the sea. This path is one of the oldest in the Carso, already used in Roman times to transport white Aurisina stone to ships that were then carried throughout the Mediterranean.
