TOUR OF THE TREMITI ISLANDS’ ARCIPELAGO
Every morning, motorboats with a direct line to the islands depart from the port of Peschici. The travel time is one hour and forty-five minutes. Departure 9 a.m., return scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Scuba diving and boat rentals available on site.
The Tremiti Islands are an archipelago in the Adriatic Sea located about 12 nautical miles north of the Gargano promontory (Lake Lesina). The small archipelago consists of the islands of San Nicola, San Domino, Cretaccio, Caprara and, about 11 miles from them, the island of Pianosa. In 1932 the archipelago became an autonomous municipality under the name of the Tremiti Islands Municipality, and has also been a marine reserve since 1989.
Its crystal-clear waters and pristine beauty make it a must-see stop for hundreds of thousands of tourists each year as well as an unparalleled Paradise for scuba diving enthusiasts.

TOUR GROTTE MARINE
Every day, departing at 9 a.m. from our private beach, comfortable motorboats will allow you to visit the entire coast from Peschici to Mattinata.
You will admire the Gargano’s most spectacular natural sea caves and trabucchi (ancient and ingenious large fishing tools built on rocks).
At lunchtime, stop at the world-famous Baia di San Felice where it will be possible to have lunch and where, weather conditions permitting, you will be allowed to bathe.
After an hour, we will depart again to continue the visit of further marine wonders.
Return scheduled for 4 p.m.

VISIT MONTE SANT’ANGELO
Distance Peschici – Monte Sant’Angelo : 58 km. (km. 30 from Foresta Umbra)
Monte Sant’Angelo is a municipality of 13,491 inhabitants in the province of Foggia and is part of the Gargano National Park and Mountain Community. Founded around the year 1000, between 1086 and 1105 it was the capital of a vast Norman possession; it stands on a spur of the Gargano among centuries-old forests and a crystal-clear sea, nestled on a rocky limestone nature rich in cavities and caverns, including the famous Archangel Michael cave.
It is the “Liber de apparitione Santi Michaelis in Monte Gargano,” whose writing dates back to the 8th century, which reconstructs in a precise and evocative manner together the miraculous events that gave rise to the cult of Archangel Michael on the Gargano. It is linked to the memory of four apparitions that occurred over the centuries, which are narrated with extraordinary and moving vividness and bear witness to the miraculous events that happened here.

VISIT SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO
Distance Peschici – San Giovanni Rotondo : 66 km. (km. 8 from Monte Sant’Angelo)
San Giovanni Rotondo is a municipality of 26,442 inhabitants in the province of Foggia and is part of the Gargano National Park and Mountain Community. The city was founded in 1095 on the ruins of a pre-existing 4th-century B.C. village, of which numerous vestiges still remain.
It is here that from September 4, 1916, to September 23, 1968, Padre Pio of Pietrelcina lived and died, and it is here that you can visit his tomb and the cell where he prayed, suffered and ended his life to go to the Father’s House. Great architectural work, as well as a place of worship, the new sanctuary.

VISIT TO GARGANO NATIONAL PARK JEEP – UMBRA FOREST SAFARI
Distance Peschici – Foresta Umbra: 28 km.
The Gargano National Park was established in 1991,covers 118,144 hectares (one of the largest protected areas)and the four Tremiti Islands (marine reserve) are also part of it. The heart of the Gargano National Park is the Umbra Forest, which, at about 15,000 hectares, is among the largest deciduous forests in Italy.
Delving into its recondite recesses is tantamount to a journey back in time: the Forest, the Nemus Garganicum often mentioned by Silio Italico, Ovid, Strabo, Virgil, Horace, and Lucan, is the most important remnant of the primitive millennia-old forest and owes its name of Umbra to the fact that the sun’s rays can hardly penetrate it.
This ‘biological island surrounded by the sea and the Tavoliere plain, just on this 0.7 percent of the national territory, is home to about 33 percent of Italy’s plant species and breeds 170 of Italy’s 237 species of nesting birds.
On foot, it is possible to walk through the forest for miles following the countless trails and enjoying the many rest and picnic areas. Inside you can find a lovely refreshment place where you can refresh yourself with tasty food.
