New Ristobar Rilke

New Opening 2024

The building is located on the edge of the Rilke path, the footpath that runs along the bay of Sistiana and leads via a short trek to Duino Castle. In fact, the Ristobar can only be reached on foot.
It offers the opportunity to have a rich breakfast, enjoy a snack, a light lunch, an aperitif or a cool drink. The perfect place for a rejuvenating break with a sea view.

The area in which it stands is part of the landscape of the Duino Cliffs Nature Reserve, which is why the materials used blend in perfectly with the landscape in which it stands: wooden parapets and pine-coloured finishes, frames in local Karst stone, cladding in local Aurisina stone – which echoes the styles of traditional Karst architecture – and roofing with traditional tile cladding.
The building consists of two levels. On the ground floor there is a bar room with an outdoor seating area and a magnificent terrace with a pergola on the upper floor, which overlooks the breathtaking panorama below.
Sustainability is always an integral part of our projects. For this reason, an external coat and photovoltaic panels were installed to improve the building’s energy efficiency. Finally, the new planting of native trees was also carried out.

We look forward to seeing you at the new Ristobar Rilke!
